The Dialectal Talking Book

A dialectal talking book is composed of audio files with aligned phonetic transcription.

Here you can access the HTML version of Talking Books, generated from the researcher version by BihalBocs.

The Hungarian standard transcription system (Magyar egyezményes hangjelölés) uses special characters not included in general charts. Therefore, we recommend downloading and installing the font we have prepared so as to read the narrow transcriptions without difficulty. This font is intended for PC-s running Windows, but it can be installed on a Mac too (OS X). It is also advisable to use browsers displaying diacritics without problems: FireFox or Opera or Safari.

The transcriptions are printable and can be pasted into documents.
